Music Makers and Shakers is an interactive music and movement session designed to aid your child's development. Adult participation (encouraging your child to participate) is expected within the class to allow your child to get the most from the experience.
Registration : Please complete the online registration details correctly, including the class you would like to attend. Covid Update- register information may be used for Track and Trace. *
Sibling Discount: As Music Makers and Shakers offer classes from 0-3 years I encourage siblings to attend and offer a discount for parents. First child is full price second child is 3/5 of the price.
Ilness : If your child has an infection please keep them at home to avoid spreading the infection to others. If your child or yourself is displaying symptoms of Covid 19 please stay at home and follow Scot Gov advice.
Cancellations of classes: We will attempt to run classes during bad weather e.g. treacherous snow conditions. However, should classes need to be cancelled you will be notified/ contacted. Music Makers and Shakers has the right to cancel classes without refund in exceptional circumstances beyond our control but will run a catch up class at an alternative time if possible.
All places are non-refundable: If you miss a class in the current time (covid 19) we cannot offer a catch up face to face class but can offer you an online catch up that week.
Data Protection: The information on registration form contains personal data. Music Makers and Shakers will record, process and keep your personal information secure in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Information will not be passed/sent out to a third party. (See point above re Track and Trace)
Health and safety: Daily risk assessments completed by the class teacher before the start of each session, ensure that hazards to parents and babies are kept to a minimum.
ONLINE CLASS UPDATE: Online class participation is at your own risk.
CHRISTMAS PARTIES- In the event of the parties being cancelled, refund will be issued minus booking fee.
COVID RETURN UPDATE:
Do not attend class if you or your child are displaying symptoms of Covid 19 please follow National Guidance.
Only 1 adult may attend class per family.
Please check your childs temperature on day of class and do not attend if they have a temperature (online catch up available)
In the event of imposed restrictions the remainder of the block of classes will continue online.
Please follow one way systems and adults MUST stay 2m apart coming in to, during and when leaving class. Adults are responsible for ensuring their child stays within their 2m section.
Adults must wear masks until they are seated in their spot (exclusions as per Scot Gov Guidance)
There will no no trial classes on offer, in order to keep the class participants the same for the block.
No mats will be provided, you may bring your own mat to sit on at your own risk.
Kit bags will be provided or you can purchase your own to bring. These must be cleaned before coming to class. Our kit bags will be cleaned after each use.
• Toys and equipment are cleaned and checked each time they are used and damaged toys are removed.

For the health and safety of the customers and staff in these premises, we must collect the name and contact details of visitors to these promises to support NHS Scotland’s Test & Protect. This information will be used to enable NHS Scotland to contact you should you have been in the premises around the same time as someone who has tested positive for coronavirus. Contacting people who might have been exposed to the virus is an important step in stopping the spread.
Why do we need to collect this data?
As stated above, the purpose for which we are processing your personal data is to assist with NHS Scotland’s Test and Protect strategy in relation to the coronavirus public health epidemic.
This will involve the gathering and, when required, the sharing of information with NHS Scotland as the responsible body for Test and Protect. Your data will not be used for any other purpose. In order to assist in the containment of the virus, we will only share your data when it is requested directly by NHS Scotland.
This will only be in the unlikely event there is a cluster of coronavirus cases linked to the venue. Information will be transferred securely to NHS National Services Scotland who will use the data to contact trace those who were in the establishment at the same time as the positive case, and will provide guidance and support to those who may be advised to self-isolate. What data will we collect?
Along with the date and time of your arrival and departure, we will collect the following personal data if applicable:
- your name; and
- contact telephone number.
If you do not have a telephone number, you have the option to provide:
- a postal address; or
- an email address.
Where multi-household groups are present, we will collect contact details from a ‘lead member’ of each household, along with the number in attendance from each household within the group.
What is our lawful basis for collecting and sharing this data?
Under data protection law, GDPR Article 6(1), we have a number of lawful bases that allow us to collect, process and share personal information. In this case, the lawful basis for processing your data is ‘legal obligation'.
In short, we are obliged to process the personal data to comply with the law which requires us to collect your data and share it with public health officers if they request it under The Health Protection (Coronavirus) (Restrictions) (Scotland) Amendment (No. 11) Regulations 2020.
How long will we retain the data?
Your personal data, collected for the purposes stated in this privacy notice and will be held by us for at least 3 weeks (21 days). All personal data will be held and disposed of in a safe and secure manner.
Your rights
As defined in the data protection law, GDPR Article(s) 12-23, you have the following rights:
- The right to be informed about the collection and use of your personal data. This is outlined above.
- The right to access the information we hold about you. Also known as Subject Access Request (SAR).
- The right to request rectification of any inaccurate personal data we hold about you. In certain circumstances exemptions to these rights may apply.
